More time to build strong connections
Drafting announcements, pulling engagement reports, following up with inactive members—all of it happens in seconds, giving you more time for the decisions that build belonging for your members.
Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP

AI community management means using an AI assistant to handle the day-to-day work of running an online community like creating content, engaging members, gathering insights, and managing operations. For community managers, it means less time on repetitive tasks and more time on the decisions and relationships that grow their community. In Zoho CommunitySpaces, this is made possible through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which connects your AI assistant directly to your community.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a universal plug that lets your Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor connect directly to software tools and platforms you use, so it can read live data, assist you with actions, and help you perform tasks through simple prompts.
Zoho MCP allows AI to read data from your Zoho applications, and act on it, helping you streamline actions across Zoho applications you use.

For community managers, this means you can link any AI model you use, like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other model that supports MCP with your Zoho CommunitySpaces community. Through plain language prompts, you can perform multiple actions in your community. You can create content and post it to your community, analyze your community's activities to understand how members are interacting, create data dashboards for your reference based on the analytics in your community, and many more actions.
Think of MCP as a co-host for your online community who shares the workload of running a community with you and your team, and helps you create, automate, and streamline your community management.
Drafting announcements, pulling engagement reports, following up with inactive members—all of it happens in seconds, giving you more time for the decisions that build belonging for your members.
Every request you make is based on what is currently happening in your community. You always have the most updated data to back your decisions.
Your AI co-host helps you understand what your most active spaces are, and what type of interactions work. With this insight, you can convert the quieter corners of your community into a space that adds value for all members.
Automate certain actions or review everything before your AI co-host publishes or changes anything in your community. Work at a pace and comfort level that fits you and your team.
A simple ask gives you everything you need. Whether you run a customer community or a B2B one, use our prompts and adapt them to suit your needs.
Build spaces, publish content, run events, and share knowledge—without navigating menus or settings.

For best results, once you've set up the connector, you should add the Zoho CommunitySpaces skill file into your AI model.
You can then type a request in plain language inside your AI model. The AI maps the request to the right Zoho CommunitySpaces action.
By default, the AI stages every action for your approval before anything goes live. You can modify the skill file to allow direct publishing for actions you're comfortable automating.
Note: The skill file contains documentation of actions possible within Zoho CommunitySpaces so the AI has the information on what feature or functionality to use within the community to get the result you need. Only the superhost and hosts can configure the Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP. If you're a community host and would like access to the Zoho CommunitySpaces skill file, please reach out to us at support@zohocommunityspaces.com.
By default, your AI co-host stages every action for your approval before anything goes live. If you're comfortable automating certain actions, you can configure that, too.
Setting up and managing the MCP connection is restricted to your community's superhost and hosts. Members in your community cannot access or modify it.
If you ask for engagement data from a specific space, it only pulls that. It doesn't independently browse your community data.
All data access is governed by OAuth-based authentication, encrypted data handling, and strict access controls—the same enterprise-grade security that runs all Zoho products.
Zoho MCP is a product built around the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a universal plug that allows AI models to interact with software. With Zoho MCP, your Ai assistants can read data from Zoho applications you use and act on it. Through plain language prompts, your AI co-host can create content for the community, gather community insights, and strategize ways to build and grow your community.
This MCP works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible model. If your Al or automation tool supports the Model Context Protocol, just copy and paste your Zoho MCP server’s URL and you’re all done.
Your Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP acts as an AI co-host that helps you create and post content on your behalf, automate gathering community insights, or helps you identify how your community is performing, all through plain language prompts. For example, you can prompt the AI co-host to post announcements in your community, create an event, get you the list of the most active and inactive members, and much more.
Unless explicitly requested to skip the approval, the AI co-host will not post to your community without your permission.
Your AI has access to the data you request from it. Depending on your permissions, you can provide access to Feeds, Forums, Spaces, Manuals, Member profiles, Events, and Tasks.
Your co-host doesn’t read your community data independently. If you ask it to look at member profiles, or pull data from events, it will. For data protection or privacy within the models you use like Claude, make sure to stay updated on the LLMs memory usage policy.
You don’t need extensive technical knowledge to set up Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP. To learn more about how you can set up Zoho MCP for Zoho CommunitySpaces, visit our product guide.
Yes, Zoho MCP is currently available in all Zoho CommunitySpaces paid plans.
With MCP, you tell your AI assistant what you need, the way you would tell a colleague. It then goes into your community, finds the right information, and either does the work or checks with you before taking action.
A chatbot responds to your members with pre-written answers, and an automation tool runs the same task every time a set condition is met. In a chatbot or an automation tool, you set the answers and conditions. But an MCP works with live community data and is built to respond to what’s happening in your community.
