What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an important regulation in EU law that aims to give full control over personal data to EU residents. Simply put, GDPR gives EU residents a greater say over what data is collected and how, why, where, and when their personal data is used, processed, or disposed of.
Who does it concern?
The GDPR covers all residents within the EU, and every organization that offer services to individuals within the EU must comply.
Data Subject Rights
The following are the Data Subject Rights that GDPR recognizes and how Zoho Webinar helps you address them.
Protection of personal data
With provisions such as two-factor authentication, idle-session timeout, role-based access, audit logs and session recording, Zoho Webinar ensures users meet security standards.
Webinar preferences
Zoho Webinar protects your privacy by giving you complete control over webinar recordings and audio/video sharing during webinars. You can enable and disable audio and video before entering a webinar, as well as at any time during the webinar. This also includes getting participant consent for the webinar to be recorded by the organizer.
Manage recordings
Zoho Webinar makes sure that the end user has every right to revoke any action before it can be performed. The customer can pause/stop screen sharing, audio, video, and recording at any point during the session and can even delete the sessions and disable the auto recording functionality whenever needed.
Right to erasure
Zoho Webinar gives admins the ability to configure their privacy settings to manage the data it collects and stores. Admins can configure privacy settings to automate the periodic cleanup of all data collected and stored in Zoho Webinar, including their name, email address, session reports, recordings, and action logs saved within the organization.
Security of processing
Zoho Webinar encrypts audio and video using DTLS-SRTP encryption. We follow the latest TLS protocol version 1.2 and have a SHA 256 SSL certificate. We have implemented Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS) and have enforced HTTPS Strict Transport Security (HSTS). Read more about encryption at Zoho.
Right to data portability
Zoho Webinar allows users to download webinar analytics reports as well as action logs, which can be exported in CSV format. Users can configure recording permissions to allow others to download recordings or to manage access to publicly shared recordings.
Action log viewer
Action log viewer allows users to view and keep track of actions carried out in their organization for auditing and administration purposes. Users can also generate action logs for a specified time and range by applying filter parameters such as users, levels, and categories.
Restrict recording access
Zoho Webinar allows users to restrict recording access. Admins can choose to share recordings with anyone, only members of their organization, or only people who have access to the link. They can also enable a setting that allows people only to view recording videos and not download them.
